2023 Piano Goals

I wanted to post a quick outline of what my 2023 goals are going to look like.

My goals are rather simple. Return to basics, develop my piano musicianship, dexterity, and sight-reading skills. Have fun. Savor the journey, even while playing the simplest of pieces. Record "completed" pieces and post via SoundCloud for self-review, progress tracking, and added personal accountability.

Current Progress: (April 29, 2023)

I completed Faber Piano Adventures Method Book 1 and I am playing through selected pieces in the Level 1 repertoire books (Classics and Pop) before moving onto the next method book. I have not tackled the technique stuff yet but will be diving in once I jump into the second method book as there is quite a bit in there; I plan on supplementing with the technical books refenced above as well.

I hadn't really touched it since 2017.
